A: Pyrography is a fancy term for woodburning, or the art of writing or drawing on wood with heated metal.
Q: Why are your carvings so expensive?
A: Compared to most wood carvers, these are modestly priced. However, a good deal of time is spent on each piece-- upwards of forty hours. A piece that is $150 and takes forty hours to create means that the rate is $3.75 an hour.
